Features: Signal processing is a crucial component in many fields of scientific research and engineering technology, involving tasks such as signal detection, transformation, filtering, compression, transmission, information extraction, and display. This book can serve as a textbook or reference for undergraduate and college students majoring in electronic information engineering, as well as a reference for professionals engaged in digital signal processing. The book primarily introduces the fundamental theories and analytical methods of digital signal processing. It is divided into 8 chapters. Chapters 1 and 2, as the foundation of digital signal processing, cover time-domain analysis of discrete-time signals and systems, the Z-transform, and frequency-domain analysis. Chapter 3 discusses the Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) and its fast algorithms. Chapters 4 to 6 introduce the structures of digital filters, as well as the design methods for IIR and FIR filters, which are essential topics in digital signal processing. Chapter 7 explores the finite-word-length effects in digital signal processing. Chapter 8 discusses the software implementation methods of digital signal processing, introducing MATLAB, a widely used software package in both domestic and international contexts, along with its Signal Processing Toolbox. Each chapter is followed by exercises. Four appendices are provided at the end of the book for reference.
