Features: Since its inception nearly a century ago, the "Doran's English-Chinese Medical Dictionary" has been an outstanding authoritative guide for medical and health terminology and its usage. The revision of the 28th edition of this book involves a thorough review of all entries, the deletion of outdated terms, and comprehensive modifications of the retained content. A significant change is evident in the format of sub-entries. In the previous editions, sub-entries were arranged in a continuous long paragraph, whereas in the new edition, each sub-entry starts on a new line, making it much easier to consult. Additionally, to enhance readability, adjustments have been made to the font of bolded headwords and entry definitions. All illustrations in this edition have been redrawn, with a substantial increase in their number. Two full-page illustrations have been added, and other full-page illustrations have been revised to reflect modern knowledge and improve their practicality. Two new sections have been added to the appendices: a list of commonly used medical abbreviations and an anatomy appendix. The list of commonly used medical abbreviations is provided for the convenience of users; the anatomy appendix is a comprehensive list of terms for certain major systems of anatomy (arteries, bones, muscles, nerves, and veins).
