Features: To summarize the experience of power testing in China over the years and promote the improvement of power testing standards in the country, the Power Testing Research Branch of the China Power Enterprises Association and China Power Press organized the compilation of the "Power Testing Technology Series." This series was developed in accordance with the requirements of the State Power Corporation's Document No. 430 of Electric Safety and Hydropower [1996], "Regulations on Power Industry Technical Supervision Work," and is characterized by scientific rigor, practicality, advanced technology, and authority. This series is suitable for technical personnel, teachers, graduate students, and students in fields such as hydropower plant automation, pump station automation, water conservancy project automation, and industrial process control. It can also serve as a training textbook for related disciplines. "Computer Monitoring Technology and Testing in Modern Hydropower Plants" is a volume in this series, a comprehensive monograph that fully reflects the rapid development and latest achievements in the automation industry of hydropower plants in China. The book is divided into four parts: Basics, Applications, Extensions, and Testing, with a total of 21 chapters. It is rich in content, covering various new technologies used in hydropower plant monitoring systems and summarizing the entire development process of hydropower plant monitoring technology in China. Theoretical aspects discuss distributed systems (including object-based and function-based distribution), hierarchical control open systems, object-oriented systems, and cross-platform systems. In terms of engineering practice, in addition to conventional hydropower plants, the book explores monitoring technologies for cascade hydropower plants and pumped storage hydropower plants, as well as discusses software reliability, software testing, and the software development environment for monitoring system software. In the discussion of monitoring system environments, in addition to electromagnetic compatibility affected by climate and mechanical factors, the book specifically addresses issues such as lightning protection for monitoring systems and seismic resistance requirements for monitoring systems, which are rarely covered in this field. Furthermore, it comprehensively discusses related technologies such as governor systems and communication protocols. Additionally, the book excerpts seven national standards and State Power Corporation regulations newly issued and closely related to hydropower plants, such as "Some Provisions for Unmanned Operation of Hydropower Plants" (for trial implementation), "Testing and Acceptance Regulations for Computer Monitoring Systems in Hydropower Plants," and "Guidelines for Hydropower Plants to Conduct Equipment Condition-Based Maintenance," to facilitate reference for readers.
