Features: This book is written based on the "Basic Requirements for Teaching Signal and System Courses in Higher Industrial Schools" formulated by the Teaching Guidance Committee of the Ministry of Education (formerly the State Education Commission) and the entrance examination requirements for master's degree candidates. The book is designed as a self-study guide, review aid, and exam preparation material for postgraduate entrance exams. The content includes: basic concepts of signals and systems, time-domain analysis of continuous systems, frequency-domain analysis of continuous signals, frequency-domain analysis of continuous systems, complex frequency-domain analysis of continuous systems, complex frequency-domain system functions and system simulation, time-domain analysis of discrete signals and systems, z-domain analysis of discrete signals and systems, and state variable method, totaling 9 chapters. Each chapter consists of three parts: key points and difficulties, selected examples, and exercises. The revised appendix provides 5 sets of postgraduate entrance examination questions and answers for signal and system courses (including reference answers). The book also includes reference answers for the exercises of each chapter at the end.
(2) When a non-sinusoidal periodic signal acts on the system at t=0, after an infinitely long time (in practice, only a finite time is required), the system reaches a steady-state operating condition. At this point, all transient responses in the system have decayed to zero, leaving only steady-state responses in the system.
