Features: Practical physical systems often face difficulties in operation and implementation. To study the various performance characteristics of these systems, people typically use their simulation models for experiments to verify or supplement the results of theoretical analysis. Before the widespread application of computers, an experimental model was often used to simulate a system, such as a dynamic model of an electrical power system. After the extensive adoption of computer applications, it is more common to use a computer and a program to simulate actual physical systems, including production processes, automatic control systems, or certain products.
Book Description: This book is a part of the "Series on Continuing Education for Mechanical and Electrical Engineers." It is divided into two parts, each containing three chapters. The first part, consisting of four chapters, serves as the foundation. Readers only need to have a background in automatic control principles. It introduces an overview of mechatronics technology, the role of computers in mechatronics, the fundamentals of mechatronics system design and analysis, and the design and analysis of a simulated DC servo system as one of the design and analysis methods for mechatronics systems. The second part is an extension, requiring readers to have a preliminary understanding of modern control theory. Chapter 5 discusses the design and experiments of digital AC servo systems, while Chapter 6 covers the identification of controlled object parameters.
