Variant characters found in ancient stone inscriptions are generally included under the regular (kaishu) characters in this book. Previous compilations such as Cao Shu Libu Yun Bao (Cursive Script Department Rhyme Treasury), Cao Zi Hui (Compendium of Cursive Characters), Cao Yun Bian Ti (Distinguishing Cursive Rhymes), Cao Sheng Hui Bian (Compendium of Cursive Master Distinguishing), and Cao Yun Hui Bian (Compendium of Cursive Rhymes) are excluded due to their poor engraving quality and significant distortion in artistic representation.
