Classic Manifesto

Author: Liang Zhongshi

Publish Date: 2004-01-01
Features: The author roughly reviewed materials from the pre-Qin period to the modern era and selected fifty representative memorials. The majority are memorials of indictment, followed by edicts for persuasion and proclamations of victory. In the modern era, we also selected some manifestos, public notices, and official announcements with memorialistic nature and function. The format for each memorial in this book is as follows: 1. Original text; 2. Annotations; 3. Analysis. The main content of the analysis section includes: First, the origin, background, author, and brief introduction of relevant figures of the memorial; Second, the exploration and analysis of the memorial's content; Third, a concise summary of the expressive techniques and artistic characteristics. The first two points are elaborated in greater detail, primarily to provide necessary knowledge for those unfamiliar with that period of history and to lay a foundation for their study and reflection. The last point is briefly summarized, with the basic consideration being to leave broader space for readers' thinking and creativity.
