Features: The "Hui Gong Ge" (Back Palace Grid) is a newly created writing format and method that integrates the structural principles of Chinese character writing, calligraphy modeling principles, and human visual habits. It has been granted a national patent. The main feature of the Hui Gong Ge is its ability to clearly and intuitively display the structure of characters, making it easy to learn, teach, and master. It enables learners to truly understand and grasp the inherent patterns of Chinese characters in a short period of time. Inventor Yang Weiguo has confirmed through years of teaching practice that learning characters using the Hui Gong Ge method significantly accelerates the improvement of writing skills for both primary and secondary school students as well as middle-aged and elderly calligraphy enthusiasts. Compared to other writing formats such as the Mi Zi Ge (Rice Grid), Tian Zi Ge (Field Grid), and Jiu Gong Ge (Nine Palace Grid), the Hui Gong Ge demonstrates greater superiority.
Minister of Culture Gao Zhanxiang wrote a preface and inscribed words for the Hui Gong series of writing books, calling it a "fine tool for calligraphy education." Renowned calligraphers Zhao Puchu, Qi Gong, and Sha Menghai, after reviewing it, also inscribed words, giving it high praise.
This set of writing books is divided into four volumes. The first three volumes feature model characters selected from the regular script of Yan Zhenqing, Liu Gongquan, and Ouyang Xun, with the "Hui Gong Ge Regular Script Writing Book" for learners to directly copy. This volume is a blank Hui Gong Ge writing book, designed for learners with a certain foundation to practice by comparing with published Hui Gong Ge writing books of regular script, running script, and clerical script.
This set of writing books emphasizes structural teaching. Considering learning needs, the layout and overall content are divided into two parts: tracing and copying. Additionally, clear and easy-to-understand textual explanations are provided in accordance with the requirements of stroke and structural teaching. This synchronized and progressive approach helps learners think critically, activate their subjective initiative, and achieve good learning results.
