Features: This collection includes 30 articles. Most of them are speeches from the commemorative meeting and papers submitted to the conference. Another part consists of papers specially recommended and provided by Pan Naiyu and Pan Naimu professors, the daughters of Mr. Pan Guangdan, including papers from the Fifth Pan Guangdan Memorial Lecture held at Fudan University in Shanghai in October 1999. Only a few papers are previously published works. We have broadly divided these 30 articles into three parts. The first part consists of 17 reflective and commemorative articles. The second part focuses on discussions on Mr. Pan's research on the Tujia ethnic group, with 3 articles. The third part discusses Mr. Pan Guangdan's various academic thoughts and research, with 10 articles. The content is extremely rich, including discussions and evaluations of Mr. Pan's academic ideas and research achievements in eugenics, genetics, sex psychology, and sociology, as well as introductions and discussions on his theory of (position and nurturing), new historical view of humanities, academic style, research attitude, as well as his translated and literary works. From these works, we can not only see the breadth and depth of Mr. Pan Guangdan's knowledge and his diligent spirit and rigorous attitude in academic research, but also gain many valuable insights.
