Features: This edition of "Laboratory Diagnosis" was jointly compiled by five universities: Peking University Health Science Center, Capital Medical University, Tianjin Medical University, Harbin Medical University, and Inner Mongolia Medical University. It is primarily intended for clinical medical students in five-year programs at medical colleges as a textbook for laboratory diagnosis. Students in extended programs can also use it. The book emphasizes the cultivation of clinical medical students' ability to master and apply clinical laboratory diagnostic knowledge, with the aim of assisting in disease diagnosis, differential diagnosis, therapeutic observation, and prognostic evaluation. The experiments in the book are organized based on the examination of diseases in various systems or organs. However, most test results are not limited to abnormalities in a single system or organ but may present multiple variations. Therefore, when studying and applying this book, a comprehensive understanding of the clinical significance of each experimental test is essential. To highlight the close integration of laboratory diagnosis and clinical practice, the last section of each chapter focuses on the experimental diagnostic strategies for various diseases, the principles for selecting experimental tests, the comparison, analysis, and comprehensive application of multiple test results, and provides detailed discussions on the experimental diagnosis of common diseases in each system. This is designed to facilitate students in applying the knowledge during clinical internships and future medical practice. The first thirteen chapters of the book primarily cover the experimental diagnosis of common diseases in various systems and organs. Additionally, two chapters on genetic diseases and transplantation tests have been added at the end, serving as references for students during self-study and clinical work.
