Features: The series we present to our readers collects academic reports and lectures delivered by over 100 domestic and foreign experts and scholars at the "Tianze Biweekly Academic Forum." The Beijing Tianze Institute of Economics was established on July 26, 1993, as a non-governmental, non-profit public institution and grassroots research organization. Shortly after its founding, the institute launched the "Tianze Biweekly Academic Forum," which held regular academic discussions every two weeks. By the end of 2002, it had already conducted 231 sessions. The papers included in this series were carefully selected from these 231 sessions. The original intention behind establishing the "Tianze Biweekly Academic Forum" was to provide a platform for scholars to exchange ideas, create a space for free discussion, and allow them to express their opinions freely and share their research findings, thereby fostering a free academic atmosphere, establishing a scientific evaluation system and academic norms, and elevating the level of social science research and practice in China. After nearly a decade of practice, it can be said that the original vision has been largely realized. The "Tianze Biweekly Academic Forum" has become an academic brand renowned both domestically and internationally.
