Features: The unit is like a big tree covered with monkeys. Looking up, you see nothing but butts; looking down, you see nothing but smiling faces; looking left and right, you see nothing but informants. Everyone wants to climb up a few branches to see more smiling faces. In a certain department, there are five people: the fat director, Ma Erhu, Big Old Liu, Wang Xiaocong, and a male colleague. The fifth is a female college student named Simin who recently joined the team. In the entire organization, this department is considered relatively idle—enough to exist but not essential. Except for the fat director, everyone is a senior section chief. The former deputy section chief was promoted to a section chief in another department, leaving the position temporarily vacant. The division head, who is quite the opposite of the fat director, is a slim, energetic man in his fifties. He has a mistress in an adjacent department named Wang Meili. These individuals stage a full-blown drama of joy and sorrow in the office, giving rise to countless absurd and dull stories.
