Features: This series of books is mainly aimed at candidates who have a certain level of English proficiency, helping them familiarize themselves with the question types, clarify their thinking, and improve their pass rate before the exam. For beginners, it is recommended to solidly master the designated BEC textbooks and use this series as supplementary material. BEC is an objective-reference certificate exam. The Cambridge Assessment English first collects questions based on the exam syllabus, then screens and modifies them before adding them to the question bank, and finally, experts compile them. The source material for the questions is primarily articles from British newspapers and magazines. In contrast, the current English exam system in China follows a different approach: the syllabus is first developed, then textbooks are created based on it, and finally, questions are set according to the syllabus and textbooks. This results in a different learning scope for candidates. Chinese English examinees often only need to study one textbook to pass the exam.
