Features: International Hans Christian Andersen Award winner Yang Song takes you into an unimaginable fantasy world, filled with wisdom, warmth, and humor. The Wood Nymphs are neither human nor animal, yet they truly exist. So what exactly are they? When they are all asleep, the Whispering Grandpa climbs upstairs with a candle. He stops in front of the wardrobe and whispers softly, "Are you there? I know you are." He gently opens the door—the one with the mirror inside. The candlelight is very dim, casting only a faint glow in the living room. However, the Whispering Grandpa can see clearly: his ancestors are standing before him. They wear hats and carry canes, looking unnaturally tall. Their nightgowns are too long and are tied with garters. But they are not wearing glasses. The Whispering Grandpa takes a step forward, and the ancestor does the same. "So, you no longer live in the stove?" the Whispering Grandpa says. "How old are you? Do you never wear glasses?" He is very excited, tapping the floor with his cane to emphasize every word. The ancestor does the same, but does not answer.
