Features: This book collects over one hundred legal documents related to the protection of the legitimate rights and interests of minors and related work since the founding of the country until January 2000. These include laws formulated by the National People's Congress and its Standing Committee, administrative regulations formulated by the State Council (including regulatory documents), departmental rules issued by relevant departments of the State Council, and judicial interpretation documents issued by the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate. In addition, two international conventions on minors are appended. The arrangement of this book places the Constitution, Constitutional Amendments, the Law of the Protection of Minors, and the Law of the Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency as general categories at the beginning of the volume. The remaining laws, regulations, departmental rules, and judicial documents of the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate are classified according to family protection, school protection, and judicial protection.
Article 124 of the People's Republic of China establishes the Supreme People's Court, local courts at various levels, and special courts such as the Military Court. The term of office of the President of the Supreme People's Court is the same as that of the National People's Congress for each term, and no more than two consecutive terms of office are permitted.
