In a dry desert, water is more precious than gold. The protagonist of the story, Toby, owns a well—a gift from heaven. He didn’t treat the well as his own but as a gift from God for everyone, so he freely shared the water with every person in need. Everyone took this for granted. When Toby left, they realized that he had given them the water they needed and also a more precious gift: love and care. So, what you need is also what others need.
