Features: Neonatology is an important component of pediatrics and has developed rapidly, gaining increasing attention. With the growing number of neonatal specialists, as well as advancements in professional medical technology and the accumulation of extensive clinical experience, the rescue success rate for critically ill newborns and the survival rate for extremely low-birth-weight infants have significantly improved. However, due to the unique conditions of newborns and the requirement for high-level medical equipment, some grassroots hospitals still lack specialized wards and physicians. As a result, there are certain difficulties in handling newborns, especially critically ill newborns. As a pediatric professional physician, for many years, I have witnessed firsthand how many newborns lost the opportunity for effective treatment due to late visits or limited local medical conditions, resulting in lifelong disabilities or even death. In light of this, we have compiled this "Handbook for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Common Neonatal Diseases," hoping that this book can provide some assistance to grassroots pediatric medical workers in diagnosing and treating newborn diseases.
