8-month-old baby with fever on the fourth day seeking advice

Patient's question:

On August 9th, I woke up feeling slightly feverish, probably around 38 degrees Celsius. I went to the hospital for a blood test, which showed normal white blood cell count but mild anemia, and C-reactive protein levels of 25. I was given intravenous antibiotics and Ribavirin. After that, I continued to have a fever.
On August 10th, white blood cell count was normal, and C-reactive protein levels dropped to 6. After intravenous treatment, around noon, my temperature measured 39 degrees Celsius. In the afternoon, I bought Sweet Qing to help lower the fever.
On August 11th, white blood cell count was normal, and C-reactive protein levels were below 5. The doctor prescribed a switch from antibiotics to penicillin. After intravenous treatment, around noon, my temperature returned to 39 degrees Celsius. About six hours after taking Sweet Qing each time, my temperature would rise back to around 39 degrees.
On August 12th, around 2 a.m., I took Sweet Qing. At 7 a.m., my temperature measured 37.1 degrees Celsius. On the way to the hospital, I measured 37.8 degrees Celsius in my arms. By 10 a.m. at the hospital, my temperature was still around 37.2 degrees Celsius. A blood test showed normal white blood cell count, with 21.4% neutrophils and a neutrophil count of 0.92. After intravenous treatment and returning home, around 3 p.m., my temperature was back to 39 degrees Celsius.
Besides the fever, I had no other obvious symptoms, and my mental state remained good throughout the period.

Doctor's answer:

Hello, the cough with phlegm in your baby is likely a symptom of bronchitis caused by a cold. You can use children's cough syrup, children's lung heat cough and asthma oral liquid, combined with antibiotics such as azithromycin or amoxicillin for treatment. You can also give your baby some rock sugar pear juice or stewed snow pears with Fritillaria, which can also be effective in relieving cough and phlegm. Pay attention to drinking more water, keeping warm, and preventing catching a cold.
