Kawasaki disease in children, have been given intravenous immunoglobulin twice, still not feverish

Patient's question:

One-year-old boy, previously healthy. Fever.

Doctor's answer:

After the diagnosis of Kawasaki disease, the standard use of intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) is 1g/kg/day for 2 days. The fever usually subsides. If the fever does not subside, consider IVIG resistance and consider hormone therapy. Drink plenty of water.
