How is neonatal brachial plexus palsy treated?

Patient's question:

Right arm weakness in infants, unable to move

Doctor's answer:

Generally, neurotrophic drugs are used for point block and brachial plexus block, combined with electroacupuncture and massage therapy. A course of treatment typically lasts two weeks, and after two weeks of massage at home, the next course of treatment can be started. Usually, three courses of treatment will be effective. If there is still no improvement after six months, it may indicate a brachial plexus nerve rupture or root avulsion injury, and surgical treatment can be considered.
