Features: Tianjin is one of China's four centrally administered municipalities (Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, and Chongqing), the largest coastal open city in northern China, and is renowned as the "Pearl of the Bohai Sea." Tianjin boasts geographical location, abundant natural resources, a solid industrial foundation, and a long history and culture. As the economic hub of the Bohai Rim region, Tianjin is a comprehensive industrial base with advanced technology, an open and multi-functional economic center, and a port city. In the future, Tianjin will be developed into a modern port city and an important economic center in northern China. Tianjin is located between 38°34ˊN and 40°15ˊN latitude and 116°43ˊE to 118°04ˊE longitude. It belongs to the UTC+8 time zone. The city spans 189 kilometers from north to south and 117 kilometers from east to west, with a total area of 11,919.7 square kilometers. Tianjin is situated on the eastern coast of the Eurasian continent in the middle latitude. It has distinct seasons and diverse landscapes. Located in the transitional zone between continental and maritime climates, it has a warm temperate, semi-humid, monsoon climate. The main characteristics of its climate are significant monsoons and a large temperature difference. In winter, northwesterly winds prevail, with cold, dry conditions and low precipitation; in summer, southeasterly and southwesterly winds are common, with high temperatures and concentrated precipitation. Tianjin's average annual temperature is above 11°C, with an average frost-free period of about 190 days, an average annual precipitation of around 600 millimeters, and an average of 2,610 to 3,090 hours of daily sunshine. Tianjin is located in the northeastern part of the North China Plain, in the lower reaches of the Haihe River basin, bordered by the Bohai Sea to the east and the Yanshan Mountains to the north, with the capital Beijing to the west. It is the confluence point and estuary of the five major tributaries of the Haihe River: the Nan Yonghe, Ziya River, Daqing River, Yongding River, and Beiyun River. Tianjin is known as the "confluence of nine rivers" and the "strategic hub of rivers and seas."
