Features: Comrade Wang Yidi has been an editor at China Children's Publishing House since 1957. We have known each other for many years at various gatherings of "Children's Literature." Now, it is a great honor for me to write the preface for his collection of essays. I must admit that my time and energy seem to be getting less and less. The manuscripts of his that Comrade Yidi sent me, I couldn't appreciate all of them carefully, but I fully felt the charm of his writings. For example, in "Folk Customs of the Coastal Town," he writes about his nostalgia for his childhood life. In "Rivers in My Heart," he expresses his deep affection for the small river waters, which reminds me of the vast ocean I love at the horizon.
