What should I do about hand, foot, and mouth disease?

Patient's question:

2013 8 21 Started getting a cold and fever, then got a fever-reducing shot and the fever went down. The next day, I noticed blisters on the baby's body. No fever anymore, playing normally. Occasionally uncomfortable. The hospital prescribed Weilin (what was the name of the medicine, forgot), plus vitamins, Ganoderma lucidum, and glucose.

Doctor's answer:

For acute-phase symptoms such as low-grade fever or no fever, runny nose, cough, sore throat, or poor appetite and nausea, the "Yinqiao Powder" formula can be used. If there is persistent high fever, dense distribution of blisters on the mouth, hands, feet, buttocks, and limbs, the "Qingwen Baiedu Yin" formula can be used. For complications such as high fever that does not subside, frequent coughing, and shortness of breath, the "Jizhao Lianhuang Wan combined with Shenfu Tang" formula can be used.
During the recovery phase of the illness, for children with dry mouth and sore throat, Shachen Maidong Tang can be used with Shengdihuang (fresh rehmannia root) and Lugen (coptis rhizome) to nourish yin and generate fluids, clear heat, and moisten the throat. If blisters appear in the child's mouth, one of the following can be chosen to apply to the affected area: Xigua Shuang (watermelon frost), Bingbeng San (ice borax powder), or Xili San. For severe blisters on the hands and feet, one of the following can be used with sesame oil: Ruyijinhuang San (golden flower powder) or Qingdai San (indigo powder), applied to the affected areas.
