Baby's skull hasn't fused properly, is there a problem?

Patient's question:

No

Doctor's answer:

The anterior fontanelle not closing is a normal phenomenon. It will close after the age of 5 or 6. Some temporal bones don't close until the age of 70. Don't worry about it. Brain disease caused by ischemia and malnutrition generally does not leave behind sequelae. You should have been treated with hyperbaric oxygen therapy, or you could just breathe in some oxygen. Medication treatment is not necessary.
