Features: Moonlight and Wolf Shadow is the author's novel, set in Spain after the end of the 1937 Civil War. Under the rule of Franco, the "victors" of the war carried out frenzied persecution of the "losers"—the fighters of the Republican front. The scene is so realistic that it is chilling. The civil war has ended, but hatred has not vanished. Many Republican fighters fled the inhumane persecution imposed by the "victors" into the remote Cantabrian Mountains, turning into "wolves" who roam the mountains and lurk beneath the moonlight. Not only do they live alongside the mountains, but they are almost one with the dangerous cliffs and deep gorges. In order to survive in nature, they begin a new struggle. Yellow Rain does not feature numerous characters or a plot. The author uses a small village at the foot of the mountains as the backdrop to depict unfamiliar characters and the state of human existence, expressing a somber yet mysterious sense of loneliness.
