Because, as Professor Qin Hui of Tsinghua University puts it, such normative research is inherently "a one-sided depth." I believe that the more refined such research becomes, the further it may stray from objective reality. If our scholars continue this line of study, they may find it increasingly difficult to explain real-world phenomena. As for me, I was fortunate enough to have the best opportunity to participate in the research of rural policy experimental zones, dedicating the best years of my life to "learning through feet." It is through long-term field research that I have accumulated some superficial, intuitive insights. However, perhaps precisely because I lack much theoretical knowledge—this is my weakness—after 20 years of research, I have only gathered a pile of confusion. Therefore, what I can say is true. I can only report to everyone my confusion.
