Artistic Appreciation: The other main section of the book. It concisely summarizes the artistic features of each poem, facilitating readers' comprehension and appreciation. All poems related to Mao Zedong's works are appended at the end of the book. The entire book is richly illustrated with images.
Mao Zedong was not only a master of poetry but also a master of calligraphy. His calligraphy, with its dragon-like and phoenix-like elegance and vigorous power, formed a unique style, widely recognized as surpassing ancient and modern calligraphers. To facilitate appreciation by calligraphy enthusiasts, selected handwritten drafts of his poems have been photocopied and interspersed throughout the text. Additionally, precious photographs related to the poems from different historical periods are included to deepen the understanding of the works.
