Features: Art Deco in architecture is directly related to the material and technical factors of a building's structure, material properties, manufacturing processes, etc. At the same time, it serves as a physical carrier of cultural and artistic factors such as history, architectural styles, and social customs. Looking back at the thousands of years of architectural development and the evolution of architectural decoration in China, it can be recognized that architectural decoration is actually a "wordless history book" meticulously carved with the development of China's technical craftsmanship and cultural arts. Professor Wu Liangyong of Tsinghua University wrote in his article "On the Research and Creation of Chinese Architectural Culture" that "losing some of the basic principles of architecture, ignoring Chinese culture, disregarding the inheritance and development of historical context, and abandoning the exploration of the connotation of Chinese historical culture is clearly a misunderstanding and confusion." "To consciously push the research to a higher level, it is necessary to trace the prototypes, explore the paradigms, and identify the prototypes and their developmental changes to easily discern their developmental patterns." This book is titled "Chinese Decoration" with the subtitle "Traditional Folk House Decorative Ideas," aiming to organize, explore, and study the basic forms, paradigms, characteristics, craftsmanship, methods, techniques, and the artistic and humanistic ideas, spirit, and concepts contained within the decoration of ancient Chinese folk houses. Therefore, it is necessary to define and explain the title of the book, its content, scope, and the objects of research on traditional folk house decoration.
