Features: Last winter, the fifth session of the Writers' Association Congress met at the Beijing West Hotel. It was a wonderful opportunity for a heartfelt reunion, but unfortunately, the schedule was too tight, and the time was too short. We parted in a hurry, and now it's been a year. In August this year, you wrote, "After leaving the hospital, I've been living under the shadow of 'my feet might rot,' feeling downhearted but not giving up. I had to fight against fate and rushed to do some things. I quickly learned to use a computer and have written a middle-length story titled 'Red Leaves Are Safe' and compiled a collection titled 'Diary of Reunion.'" Putting down the letter, I thought of how over the past few decades, you have often been a strong fighter in the struggle against fate, and any hardship, setback, or obstacle has always been crushed by the strong. In recent years, whenever I received your self-selected prose collection "Jewels of Memory" and that unique, illustrated book "Journey to My Homeland," I thought the same way. Now, "Diary of Reunion" will be presented to readers in a collected form—how can I not be delighted for you?
