Ignoring agents to study abroad: Consular interviews for students in China

Author: Chen Tieyuan
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2002-05-01
Features: Graduates from prestigious universities and departments studying abroad in groups; sophomore and junior students studying hard for the TOEFL and GRE; primary and middle school students leaving multiple countries with full financial support; potential students still contemplating their decision. As a result, study abroad agents popped up like mushrooms, with mixed quality; thus, many stories about study abroad agents emerged. Among these stories, there are normal ones, not-so-normal ones, and extremely abnormal ones. Therefore, the main purpose of my book, "Study Abroad Without Agents – Interviews with Consular Officers," is to minimize those not-so-normal and extremely abnormal study abroad events.
