Features: With the spread of acupuncture worldwide, academic exchanges between countries have become increasingly frequent. More and more foreign scholars visit China for observation and study of acupuncture, while Chinese acupuncture professionals also engage in teaching and learning professional English abroad. To meet the needs of doctors at home and abroad for learning acupuncture knowledge and exchanging acupuncture academic insights, this Practical Chinese-English Acupuncture Dictionary has been compiled. The book collects over 2,000 entries related to acupuncture meridians, acupoints, needling and moxibustion, treatment, acupuncture medical literature, figures, as well as Chinese medical terms and Western medical terminology associated with acupuncture, arranged in the order of Pinyin alphabetical sequence. Among the acupuncture terms, some have profound and difficult meanings, while others have inconsistent translations. Based on common translation practices and our own insights, we have provided corresponding English translations. The book strives to use both Chinese and English to accurately define the terms.
