Features: Through a friend, Liu Minghao, Yang Rui joined the Taekwondo training class at Beijing Martial Arts College, where he met An Xin, a cleaning worker. An Xin's innocent appearance, melancholic eyes, and mysterious background deeply captivated Yang Rui. As their relationship grew, Yang Rui gradually learned about An Xin's.
An Xin's hometown was Qingmian, Yunnan. During middle school, she won the provincial Taekwondo championship for girls. After the college entrance exam, she was admitted to the first round of the Guangping Public Security College. While caring for the ill principal, she met his son, Zhang Tiejun, a journalist, and fell in love with him. After graduating from university, she insisted on working in a grassroots public security bureau for practical experience.
By chance, she encountered Mao Jie, a handsome and passionate man, and had an affair with him, which resulted in her becoming pregnant. This led to the breakdown of her marriage to Tiejun. During a mission, she discovered that Mao Jie was a drug dealer, and the drug control team eradicated the drug operation led by Mao Jie's parents. Upon learning An Xin's true identity, Mao Jie began to retaliate wildly, and Tiejun was killed by him.
Out of care and compassion, the organization allowed An Xin to go into hiding and helped her find a job at a building materials company in Beijing. However, due to unreasonable harassment from the company manager, she had to leave again and moved to Beijing with her child, working as a cleaner at the Beijing Taekwondo Club through a mutual acquaintance. Later, she was falsely accused and forced to leave again, working at a small restaurant for two days before moving to Sanhuan Furniture City to sell furniture.
Yang Rui was in charge of a construction project at Guoning Company but was arrested due to suspected corruption. An Xin fought for him, lobbying and working tirelessly, and he was eventually acquitted due to insufficient evidence from the plaintiff's accusations. Yang Rui, who had never taken responsibility for love, was deeply moved by An Xin's character and integrity, falling deeply in love with her. They decided to get married.
On their way to Yunnan to obtain marriage certificates, they encountered Mao Jie again. With An Xin's help, the Nande Public Security Bureau killed Mao Jie, but he had already killed a child, Xiao Xiong. An Xin and Yang Rui returned to Beijing. Yang Rui believed that time would heal An Xin's wounds, and their happiness would eventually come. However, a few days later, An Xin disappeared after leaving a letter saying she would take responsibility for her late husband and son.
Yang Rui found the drug control team at Nande Public Security Bureau. Captain Pan told him that An Xin was engaged in the cause she was willing to dedicate her life to, following her own will. Before parting, Captain Pan handed over a jade Guanyin pendant, symbolizing kindness, ideals, and motherhood, which An Xin always carried with her.
