She—Helen Keller, a woman who lived in darkness yet brought light to humanity, a frail woman who lived through 88 years of life but endured 87 years of darkness, silence, and isolation. Yet, this person confined to the world of the blind, deaf, and mute not only graduated from Radcliffe College at Harvard University but also devoted her entire life to establishing charitable institutions for the benefit of the disabled, being named one of the top ten hero icons of the 20th century in the United States by Time magazine. This miracle was achieved solely through an indomitable spirit. Helen accepted the challenges of life, embraced the world with love, and faced adversity with astonishing perseverance, ultimately finding the light of life in the darkness. Later, she extended her loving hands to the entire world. Helen Keller wrote a total of 14 books. The Story of My Life was her debut work. Upon its publication, it caused a sensation in the United States and was hailed as "an unparalleled masterpiece in the history of world literature." Over 100 versions have been published, exerting a profound influence worldwide. This book is a compilation of Helen Keller's works, including The Story of My Life, Out of the Dark, Teacher, and the famous essay "Three Days to See" published in The Atlantic Monthly. It provides a complete and systematic introduction to the rich, vivid, real, and life of Helen Keller, with many passages appearing in China for the first time. When I took up my pen to record the journey of my life, I was always accompanied by a sense of unease. Memories of my childhood seemed shrouded in a misty veil of lightness. Now, as I slowly lift this veil, a sense of confusion and doubt arises. Writing an autobiography is actually a very difficult task. From the distant past to the present, I have experienced many years, and reality and imagination have become blurred in my mind. I can no longer clearly distinguish which are my original true memories. It seems that women always depict their childhood in fantasies. Although the joys and sorrows of childhood have mostly lost their original color through the passage of time, many events that were once significant in my early memories have gradually faded away in the excitement of growing up. However, certain scenes remain vivid and lively in my mind, occasionally flashing before me and influencing my life to some extent. To avoid making my biography lengthy and tedious, I will select the most interesting and important fragments of my life to tell the story of my journey.
