Features: The 21st century will be an era where China and Japan will face various challenges together. These challenges may also become issues for the entire East Asian region in the future. As China continues its economic development, it can draw inspiration from Japan's domestic issues or the problems arising between Japan and the international community to seek new solutions. However, there are not many books that help understand Japan in these areas, and even fewer that introduce controversial issues in the Japanese economy. Therefore, we have selected 10 books renowned in Japan as central to these issues and systematically translated them into Chinese, hoping to provide readers with some clues to understanding Japan. This is the organizing principle. This is the purpose of the publisher's series "Famous Works Translation Series on Japanese Economics." This series was created under the support of the International Exchange Foundation and the Ministry of Education of China, and is one of the "Basic Documents Translation Series on Japanese Studies" planned by the Beijing Center for Japanese Studies. The Beijing Center for Japanese Studies, established in 1985 as a research and educational institution with the goal of advancing Japanese studies in China, planned and published this series, sponsored by the International Exchange Foundation, to lay the foundation for Japanese studies. In this series, in addition to the economics series, the sociology series has been partially published, and it is expected that the linguistics series will also be published soon. We hope that these books, including the economics series, can serve as a starting point for readers to understand Japan.
