Features: The novel begins with a misunderstanding and comedy involving Chen Ling, his wife, and his lover exchanging text messages on Valentine's Day. Chen Ling's career progresses smoothly due to his relationship with his boss. After spending time alone with his boss, he accidentally meets his text lover and starts a complicated relationship with them. His good friend Ding Wen creates a business plan for Chen Ling, tricks him, and causes him to suffer losses. Ding Wen also betrays him, leading to cracks in his relationship with his wife. Chen Ling pours his emotions into his lover, only to discover that the lover is frightening—seemingly innocent but quite cunning. During a search for his text lover, Chen Ling is involved in a car accident. His wife, lover, and boss all disappear, leaving only Ding Wen's live-in girlfriend to visit him. After leaving the hospital, the live-in girlfriend leaves, feeling too ashamed to face the two men. Chen Ling abandons everything to chase the live-in girlfriend to the airport, but midway, he receives a message from his text lover, who then disappears from the city.
