Features: This book summarizes and compiles the decades of clinical experience in gynecology by Huang Shengwu, a renowned TCM gynecologist and professor at the Affiliated Hospital of Hubei University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The book particularly focuses on Huang's late-life experiences. The author, designated as a student of "Old Huang" by the hospital in the 1980s, conducted in-depth research and exploration into "Old Huang's" academic thoughts and clinical experiences during her apprenticeship, earning his favor. The book is divided into five parts. The first part presents Huang Shengwu's main academic thoughts. The second part consists of Huang's medical dialogues, which are the essence of his clinical experiences. The third part includes Huang's clinical case studies, adopting the format of one disease, one prescription. The case studies are enriched with personally treated cases by "Old Huang," with commentary provided by the author. Each commentary primarily discusses the etiology and pathogenesis, followed by an analysis of the prescribed formulas, with a special emphasis on a detailed examination of Huang's medication characteristics. A brief summary of the treatment features for each category of diseases is provided after each case study. The fourth part presents an analysis of Huang's ward rounds and clinical case studies, demonstrating how he diagnosed diseases, prescribed medications, and evaluated existing prescriptions by other doctors, explaining which medications were effective and why, and which were not effective and why. It also includes his reasoning for choosing alternative medications, serving as a model for TCM ward rounds. The fifth part contains the complete text of "Commentary on Fu Qingzhu's Gynecology." The "Commentary" section reflects Huang Shengwu's academic thoughts in TCM gynecology. The book is of high academic and literary quality, making it an outstanding work among recent publications by renowned TCM experts, and is worth reading and collecting.
