Features: Mount Tai is one of the famous mountains in China, the supreme of the Five Great Mountains. It stands majestically in the eastern part of the North China Plain, rising from the Shandong hills. The mountain range is layered, with an extraordinary aura. Mount Tai has a towering body and a magnificent appearance. Although its main peak, Yu Huang Ding, only reaches an altitude of 1,545 meters, its dramatic elevation difference of about 1,300 meters from the surrounding mountains and plains makes its grandeur unmatched by other famous mountains. With its majestic, magnificent, dignified, solemn, and robust natural form, Mount Tai has become an important source of aesthetic practice in Chinese culture. At the same time, people have imbued their aesthetic ideals into Mount Tai, materializing their aesthetic consciousness in its various natural and cultural landscapes, making it a crystallization of aesthetic creation in the Chinese nation. As a typical representative of traditional Chinese famous mountains, and as a mountain with a long history and a special status in the hearts of the Chinese people, Mount Tai was listed as a National Key Scenic Area in 1982 and officially inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List by the World Heritage Committee in 1987, becoming a precious heritage of all humanity.
