Features: This book is a typical teaching material for vocational training; it is also a working manual that integrates practical experience, systematic theory, and practical techniques, suitable for a wide range of technicians, engineering managers, property managers, and related business personnel engaged in refrigeration and air conditioning operation and maintenance. The book is compiled based on common and frequently used technical materials in actual work, divided into five chapters. Chapter 1 covers basic refrigeration and air conditioning data, including common concepts, principles, units, charts, and frequently used substances; it also provides necessary explanations on common refrigeration systems and refrigeration principles. Chapter 2 introduces major refrigeration equipment, including the selection, maintenance, and application of refrigeration compressors, heat exchangers, throttling devices, valves, and auxiliary equipment. Chapter 3 focuses on room air conditioners (commonly referred to as air conditioners) and low-temperature boxes, such as household refrigerators, low-temperature storage boxes, and ice-making machines. Chapter 4 collects operational and management data for large cold storage facilities, as well as standards for the selection, installation, and safe operation of mobile and modular small and medium-sized cold storage units. Chapter 5 provides detailed descriptions of the two major air conditioning systems—central air conditioning systems with central water supply (fan coil units) and central air supply—and their auxiliary equipment, including the selection, safe operation, fault diagnosis, and troubleshooting of reciprocating chiller units, screw chiller units, centrifugal chiller units, lithium bromide absorption chiller units, and heat pump air conditioning units.
