Features: This book covers various aspects such as terminology, figures, events, organizations, groups, doctrines, schools, and works in the fields of humanities, social sciences, and self-in-science. The entries generally include conventional and relatively stable compound terms. A few compound terms embedded in compound expressions, as well as very few embedded in specific terms, such as "Five Animal Frolics" and "Six-One Scholar," are also selected on a case-by-case basis. Entries that have both encyclopedic and lexical meanings generally only provide encyclopedic definitions, without lexical definitions. For a few that have lexical extensions, brief explanations are added. The level of detail in definitions follows the principles of knowledge and practicality. Definition terms:
- "i.e." indicates that the names are different but the functions are the same.
- "see" indicates that the definition is not provided here, and the relevant content can be found at the "see" reference.
- "briefly" indicates that a brief mention is made here, and the detailed content can be found at the "briefly" reference.
- "see also" indicates that there are related entries that can be used for reference and supplementation.
- "see" or "refer to" either cites the sources of the definitions or provides readers with more relevant information. Generally, references are not cited, but for relatively obscure entries or those that help in the definition, they are used selectively.
Translation names follow common translation methods, with the principle of "the name follows the main person." Whether to include foreign language annotations depends on the level of recognition and the specific context of the definition. There is no strict requirement for uniformity. All entries are arranged in order of the number of units in the compound terms. Within the same number of units, they are arranged first by syllable count, then by stroke count, and finally by stroke order.
(Note: The line breaks "\n" are retained as per the original format.)
