Publishing this large series of illustrated books on ancient towns in Chongqing is an effort to fulfill our modest contribution. In this series, there are 8 books, each featuring 100 to 150 photographic images along with corresponding descriptive text of 50,000 to 60,000 words, introducing a historic and cultural ancient town in Chongqing. We have achieved a balance where the realism and presence of the images bring the depth and transcendence of the text into a specific temporal and spatial framework; at the same time, the text stimulates divergent thinking, enabling multidimensional interpretations of the visual and intuitive nature of the images.
