How to check and rule out hydrocephalus

Patient's question:

At 28 weeks and 6 days, the check showed: biparietal diameter (BPD) 7.1 cm, head circumference (HC) 27.0 cm, width of one lateral ventricle approximately 0.88 cm, abdominal circumference (AC) 25.0 cm, humerus length 4.9 cm, and femur length 5.2 cm.
Now at 32 weeks and 5 days, the check revealed: BPD 8.4 cm, width of the left lateral ventricle approximately 0.8 cm, both thalami and choroid plexuses visible, transparent septum visible, no obvious abnormalities in the cerebellar hemispheres, cisterna magna width approximately 0.8 cm, femur length 6.1 cm, humerus length 5.5 cm, amniotic fluid depth 4.5 cm, and amniotic fluid index 14.
The baby has now been born with a head circumference of 36 cm and a weight of 7.8 jin. How should hydrocephalus be screened for?

Doctor's answer:

Hello! The best time for fetal anomaly screening is generally between the 18th and 24th weeks of pregnancy, when a 4D ultrasound examination can be performed. Currently, only routine examination methods are available. Wishing you good health.
