Patient's question:
Headache and vomitingDoctor's answer:
Analysis of the condition: The symptoms of hydrocephalus in adults are generally headache, nausea, vomiting, memory decline, unsteady gait, and urinary and fecal incontinence. Previous conditions such as encephalitis, parasitic infections, trauma, or tumors can all lead to hydrocephalus.Advice: Undergo an MRI scan to determine the cause. If it is caused by a tumor, the tumor can be removed. If there is no occupying lesion, a ventriculoperitoneal shunt surgery can be performed. It could also be caused by a congenital malformation of the cerebellar tonsils.
