Features: Family businesses emphasize a sense of humanity, and this humanistic atmosphere is the nourishment that fosters their deep-rooted growth. In our company, it’s not uncommon for many young employees to spontaneously form a welcoming procession to greet a long-serving worker who has completed 25 years of service. In the early days, my mother often took the time to provide warm clothing for the workers during cold weather. For a business to develop normally, it is essential for company rules to take precedence over family rules, making the latter "indifferent." Of course, this "indifference" is not callous or heartless; rather, it means approaching familial relationships rationally, balancing family sentiments with business principles, and properly handling the conflicts between "family and operations."
The people-oriented management philosophy gave rise to the vast IBM computer empire, Panasonic’s corporate culture built a powerful electronics group, and Walmart’s profit-sharing plan constructed a global chain of supermarkets. In the Fortune 500 list of companies, family businesses account for one-third. Family businesses are not synonymous with outdated management practices; many of them possess strong cohesion, vitality, and exceptional business concepts.
