Features: The "Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso" and "Havane" in this collection of pieces are important works in Saint-Sa?ns' violin compositions. "Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso," Op. 28, was written in 1870. The composer dedicated this work to the famous Spanish violinist Sarasate at the time, and in the process of creation, he thoroughly studied the performance techniques of the violin, thereby fully bringing into play the rich artistic expressiveness of the instrument in the work. "Havane," Op. 83, was written in 1887. At that time, Saint-Sa?ns accompanied violinist Albertini on a tour to various countries in Europe. They were stranded in a hotel in Bucharest due to rain, which led to the conception of this piece. Two years later, he completed the full score, dedicating it to Albertini. These two works have become the repertoire pieces of violinists who are active on the international music scene today.
