Features: In recent years, the dictionaries on banking published in China's book market have often defined many terms from the perspective of Chinese people, resulting in significant differences from international common practices. Some concepts in certain terms have been phased out, while some newly emerging terms have not been included. All these issues have caused certain confusion alongside the development of concepts and vocabulary. This is primarily due to some terms in China having established conventional concepts, yet both their connotations and extensions differ greatly internationally. This cannot be said to be a hindrance to aligning with international standards.
To address these issues, we have compiled this book, aiming to eliminate erroneous or confusing concepts, provide new terms and relevant terminology with their definitions, and thereby adapt to the new situation following China's entry into the WTO, enabling China's banking sector to better and more quickly align with international banking practices.
This dictionary is arranged in alphabetical order based on English letters and includes over 3,500 entries. Each term follows the international common meaning while providing detailed Chinese definitions that also consider China's current realities and cultural characteristics. While this may deviate slightly from a literal translation of the original text, we believe it is more accessible for Chinese readers to understand.
