Features: "Memoirs of Zheng Chaolin," written by Zheng Chaolin, who joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in his early years. He studied at Sun Yat-sen University in Moscow in 1923 and returned to China in 1924, serving as a secretary in the Central Propaganda Department and a member of the Shanghai Municipal Committee. He also served as the Propaganda Minister of the Hubei Provincial Committee. In 1929, he was expelled from the party for participating in anti-party activities within the CPC. He was one of the leaders of the Chinese Trotskyist organization. Before the liberation, he was arrested twice by the Chiang Kai-shek regime. After the liberation, he was imprisoned by the People's Government. He was released in 1979 and served as a member of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. The memoirs in this book were written in 1945, and "Chen Duxiu and the Trotskyists" was written in 1980. The book provides firsthand accounts of many early CPC leaders and significant historical events.
