The baby is four months old and has been having diarrhea that won't go away. What should I do? Diarrhea

Patient's question:

The baby is four months old and has been having diarrhea that won't go away. What should I do? It's been a month now, and I'm currently at the Maternal and Child Health Hospital. The doctor said it's gastroenteritis. What should I do? Diarrhea. 5.1 Maternal and Child Health Hospital

Doctor's answer:

Analysis of the Condition: Hello, pediatric diarrhea is a common clinical condition in pediatrics. Generally, hormone-based medications are used, which often only provide short-term effectiveness or are almost ineffective, while their strong side effects can affect the child's healthy growth.
Advice: Here is a method commonly used by the author in clinical practice. Although it is a small method, it can treat serious and chronic conditions, with significant clinical effects.
Method: Grind five-leaf sumac into powder and mix it with warm vinegar to form a small cake-like paste. Apply this paste to the child's Shenque acupoint (belly button). One application can cure the condition (as long as the child has chronic diarrhea without redness in the anus, this method can be used).
Additionally, this method was taught to me by my mentor, Professor Gao Shuzhong, Dean of the Acupuncture and Tuina College at Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Whenever this method is applied, it is always highly effective, like capturing a drum. Therefore, feel free to use it with confidence. This method is also introduced in the author's book "One-Needle Therapy."
Wishing your child a speedy recovery and healthy growth!
