I have a sex chromosome genetic disorder called Klinefelter syndrome.

Patient's question:

I have a sex chromosome genetic disorder caused by congenital undescended testicles. Can it be cured?

Doctor's answer:

Generally, cyclopetylpropionate ester is used. The initial dose is 50mg administered intramuscularly every 3 weeks, with the dose increased by 50mg every 6 to 9 months until the adult dose (250mg every 3 weeks) is reached. For older patients, the initial dose and incremental dosage can be increased to achieve a faster effect.
Currently, testosterone undecanoate, also known as Andriol, is commonly used domestically. It is a derivative of testosterone with strong androgenic and anabolic effects. The oil-based injectable form is available in 250mg vials, administered monthly for 4 consecutive months. After injection, the drug is slowly absorbed through the lymphatic system, with peak blood concentration occurring on day 2 and the effect lasting for 1 month.
The oral formulation is available in 40mg tablets, which are easily absorbed by the gastrointestinal tract, reaching peak concentration within 2.5 to 5 hours and returning to baseline levels after 10 hours. The initial oral dose is 120 to 160mg/day, taken in 3 divided doses for 2 to 3 weeks, followed by a maintenance dose of 40 to 120mg/day.
Since testosterone undecanoate is absorbed through the lymphatic system and does not pass through the liver, it has no impact on liver function.
