Can children with epilepsy go to school?

Patient's question:

Child is 9 years old, started showing symptoms at the beginning of last year, and the manifestations are different from other children. Not sure if they can go to school.

Doctor's answer:

Children should avoid fatigue and ensure adequate sleep. Adults should get at least 7-9 hours of sleep per day, while children should get at least 8-16 hours. Engage in moderate exercise such as walking, jogging, badminton, tennis, or table tennis. Avoid swimming, mountain climbing, or diving. Also, try not to ride bicycles to prevent falls during an episode or traffic accidents. Watch less TV and avoid playing electronic games.
