Can children with nephrotic syndrome be cured?

Patient's question:

Proteinuria 3±, severe eye swelling, excellent mental state, normal appetite, sleep, bowel movements, decreased urination, normal weight. On January 14, 2010, I went to the hospital for a check-up. After various tests and follow-up reviews at multiple hospitals, the results were the same: "Nephrotic Syndrome." Previously, I was bitten by a dog and received three rabies vaccinations, with two remaining. Two days after completing the vaccinations, my eyes started swelling. By the morning of the following week, the swelling had become particularly severe. I wonder if this could be related to the rabies vaccination or another underlying cause?

Doctor's answer:

Nephrotic syndrome can generally be cured. Suggestions: As long as you follow the doctor's advice on diet and medication, it can be cured. For example, follow a low-salt diet, avoid spicy foods, get adequate rest, abstain from alcohol, use diuretics reasonably, and primarily use prednisone for treatment.
